Job Description


Job description:
Assist the director in supervising, coordinating, and participating in activities relative to the practice area including management of human and financial resources, staff development, and policy development.

* Supervise and coordinate pharmaceutical care responsibilities

* Plan and schedule work for the practice area.

*Manage staff development activities.

*Participate in the recruiting and selection of staff.

*Ensure compliance with all regulatory practice standards.

*Maintain interface with medical and nursing staff to provide regular information.

*Evaluate staff compliance with department policy.

*Suggest performance improvement plans and assist with implementation.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Education
BS Pharmacy degree, Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred

Experience
Two years of progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, management residency training preferred.

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Licensed or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina

Experience
*Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form.

*Extensive knowledge of drug products, medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states. Ability to work with information systems, automated and technical equipment.

*Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with various members of the health care teams.

*Knowledge of practice standards and regulatory requirements.
