A Clinical Pharmacist interested in Moses Cone Health System should be a team player and passionate about helping patients with their drug therapy. A PharmD with residency is preferred. Experience in hospital is required. Team oriented. Energetic. Accountable. Decision-maker. Good communication skills. Must possess the ability to teach and precept. Must like to have fun and to build an expanding pharmacy practice.

The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is a 535-bed acute care facility that is part of the Moses Cone Health System, a leading health care organization that includes three acute care hospitals, a women’s and infant’s hospital, a Regional Cancer Center, three emergency rooms, ambulatory clinics, and outpatient pharmacy services. The Moses Cone Health System recently became the first five-hospital system in the Southeast to be awarded Magnet Recognition for Excellence. Moses Cone Hospital is also an accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. Being part of the integrated, private, not-for-profit, five-hospital network allows Moses Cone Hospital to offer high-level services to the community as a private teaching hospital with residents in internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics, and nursing, and students from schools of pharmacy and nursing. The pharmacy offers eight pharmacy practice residencies and one neonatal pharmacy fellowship. Moses Cone’s pharmacy is widely recognized as a provider of drug therapy management via collaborative protocols. Practice opportunities include rounding, unit-based care, clinical dosing assignments, precepting pharmacy residents and students, quality improvement teams within the pharmacy and the institution, Shared Governance Council participation, medication safety hardwiring, informatics, presentations to medical/nursing peers, and formulary decision-making.
